Do you believe in fairness at work?
Do you want to build power with members and make lasting change in higher education?

The National Tertiary Education Union represents staff working across universities, research institutes, TAFE, student organisations and adult and community education. Our members include academic, professional, research and general staff who are shaping Australia's future every day.

We are seeking three motivated, member-focused organisers to help grow and strengthen our union, particularly in under-represented areas of the higher education sector. These roles are ideal for people with experience in recruitment, organising and campaigning within a trade union or social justice environment, and who are committed to building collective power.

As part of a dedicated team, you will take responsibility for a mix of industrial, organising, campaign and administrative work. You will work directly with members, support workplace activism and help drive campaigns that improve pay, conditions and respect at work. Interstate travel may be required.

These positions are offered at Level 5 or 6 ($99,447 to $123,082 FTE), depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation. Terms and conditions are covered by a national collective agreement aligned with those of NTEU members in the sector.

If you are ready to stand up for workers' rights and help shape a fair, inclusive and equitable future for staff in higher education, we would love to hear from you.
